I decided to do something different and I'm really happy with the results. I spun two yarns that each had alternating sections of brown and natural. Then I plied them together. Where the white sections are together you'll get a white stripe, and the same with the brown. When a white section and a brown section plied together, there is a brown and white twist that will look kind of like tweed in your finished project. The Amana Colonies are in Iowa, known for their wool, furniture and, of course, Amana appliances. This yarn is soft and lofty. The diameter is bulky. There's a lot of wool in this.
